Khovrino Metro Station – 3D Concept Model
Context: A detailed 3D representation of Khovrino station from the Moscow Metro — created as a conceptual environment for potential game engine integration (GMod).
Challenge: Recreate the spatial and architectural characteristics of a real-world metro station in 3D, keeping the model clean, modular, and visually accurate.
A digital reconstruction of modern Moscow infrastructure.
This project presents a fan-made 3D model of the Khovrino metro station (Moscow Metro, Line 2).
How it was built
Modeled entirely in Blender, based on public photo references and observational studies
Geometry constructed with modularity in mind, ready for potential segmentation and optimization
Focused on key architectural elements: wall tiling, platform design, lighting layout, column rhythm
Textured using reference-based materials with emphasis on realistic metro ambiance
While not finalized for in-game use, the model demonstrates strong environmental design sensibility and architectural interpretation — useful for prototyping urban environments.
Tools used: Blender, Photoshop
My role & solution
End-to-end 3D modeling and scene assembly
Created surface materials and signage elements true to the station's character
Delivered clean, adaptable files that could be prepped for export to a game engine
This is a personal and non-commercial project, developed out of a passion for metro systems, architecture, and modding culture
