I play several free games on my phone, which means I have to deal with intrusive full-screen ads that disrupt my gameplay, and this got me thinking…

What If… free games incorporated a dedicated ad space that is constantly visible? Advertisers could use this space to display different ads, allowing game developers to provide free versions of their games still while monetizing them through ads. This approach also ensures that viewers do not skip advertisers’ ads.

Some advertisers might argue that spaces in ad panels are often ignored, so they rely on full-screen ads for effectiveness. However, the more full-screen ads you include in free games, the fewer times these games will get played, which diminishes the effectiveness of the ads themselves.

Instead, welcoming players into the game with a consistent ad that remains visible could lead to more impressions. This way, there’s a higher chance the ad will resonate with consumers.
