Designing a conference: Discover 24

Developing a visual strategy

Discover 24 is an annual developers conference hosted by Docusign to build the future of agreements. The brand and creative team created a new identity for the inaugural event and constructed a design system to be used across web, social, physical spaces, and swag. With the recent Docusign rebrand, we had a visual and illustration style that was working for the Docusign Developer brand and we wanted to continue building brand awareness while pushing the conference identity further.

Dimensional shape library

For the main logo lockup, we incorporated our library of 3D shapes and added motion, swapping out the 'o' with revolving cubes, pyramids, and spheres. Our guidelines provided a library of different illustrations our team and vendors could use for video placements and deck designs.

Scalable motion system

Selected 3D shapes were animated and arranged to showcase the idea of blocks of code being compiled—similar to an abstract conveyor belt.  The animations were short 3 second loops that we could use in different placements, from social ads to webinar treatments.

Bringing it together

Docusign's day-long developer conference, Discover 24 brought together some of the brightest minds from Microsoft, Workday, and SAP for interactive sessions, virtual hackathons, and the next generation of integrations. Typography and event creative highlighted conference details and how builders and attendees could participate in-person or online.
