Weather App Icon Subtle Redesing

"Sometimes the smallest change brings the biggest impact" - Steve Jobs.

I was pettily annoyed a few days ago as I prepared to head out for a run. All I wanted was to check the current temperature to dress appropriately. Yet, to find that information, I had to unlock my phone, navigate through the weather app, and tap it to reveal the current temperature. It struck me as a trivial hassle, an everyday inconvenience. However, this got me thinking...

What If the weather app displayed the current temperature directly on the app's icon? While various widgets are available, they often take up too much space and disrupt my carefully curated balance for my home screen. Having the temperature on the app icon would be a sleek and elegant solution, reminiscent of how the calendar app displays the day's date.

From a user experience perspective, you could glance at your phone and instantly know the temperature without the extra steps of unlocking and tapping. It's a minor adjustment that could significantly impact our daily routines.

What do you think? Wouldn't it be wonderful if our apps evolved so straightforward yet meaningfully?

P.S. "Steve Jobs probably didn't say that, so don't believe everything you read on the internet" - Abe Lincoln.
