A Glittering Night for Jodi – Gala Dinner Invitation

This invitation was designed for a fundraising gala dinner in support of Jodi Shepherd, a beloved community member from Looe who is raising funds for life-saving cancer treatment in Turkey.

The design combines elegance and warmth, reflecting the spirit of the event. The navy blue background exudes sophistication, while cascading golden and silver glitter adds a touch of glamour and celebration. I illustrated Jodi's face in a classic, subtle style to honor her beauty and strength without overshadowing the message of hope and community.

For this project, I used:

• Design Software: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

• Process: Brainstorming, sketching initial layouts, refining the color palette for a luxurious feel, and applying finishing touches with glitter effects and typography.

This piece features a classic illustration style created to capture the subject's inner beauty and strength. The goal was to strike a balance between elegance and simplicity, avoiding overly playful elements to ensure the artwork aligned with a refined aesthetic.

The illustration was crafted using Procreate, allowing for smooth linework and detailed shading, and then refined in Adobe Illustrator to achieve a polished, versatile final design. This workflow enabled precise adjustments to composition and color, ensuring the piece maintained its sophisticated tone while highlighting the subject's natural grace.
