Remote Patient Monitoring Dashboard
Challenge
The challenge was to design a user interface that would enable caregivers to effectively monitor the health of elderly patients remotely. This required a system that presented critical health indicators in a clear and concise manner, while also providing caregivers with the tools and information necessary to quickly respond to any concerning changes in a patient's condition. The design needed to be intuitive and efficient, allowing caregivers to quickly identify potential issues and take appropriate actions, such as scheduling appointments or initiating emergency protocols.
Solution
To address these challenges, a Jobs-to-be-Done framework was employed. The focus was on understanding the "jobs" that caregivers needed to accomplish, such as "stay informed about a patient's health status," "identify potential risks," and "take prompt action when necessary." Based on these insights, the user interface was designed to prioritize key information, such as vital signs, medication adherence, and recent events. Data visualizations, such as charts and graphs, were used to effectively communicate trends and patterns in patient health. The interface also included features like alerts and notifications to proactively notify caregivers of critical situations. By focusing on the specific jobs caregivers needed to do, the design ensured that the application was both functional and supportive of their workflows.
