About Catrina Sour

The Catrina Sour is a Brazilian beer style created in Santa Catarina in 2015. This light, refreshing wheat ale features clean lactic sourness, low bitterness, and vibrant fruit flavors, often from tropical varieties. Brewed with a wheat and Pilsner malt base, it is kettle-soured with Lactobacillus and finished with fresh fruit, resulting in a highly drinkable, effervescent beer. Designed to showcase Brazil's rich fruit diversity, the Catharina Sour has gained international recognition, reflecting Brazil's innovation in craft brewing.
