Drown Your Thirst Drinky Dinky Tee

The brief:

To accompany the brand new can designs for the pilot launch of Drinky Dinky in Australia, I was tasked with designing 3 distinct tee graphics that would be sold and given away as part of the launch campaign.

I always enjoy an opportunity to design tee graphics, taking me back to my Rip Curl days, so I jumped on the project with vigour and excitement.

This showcase is the 2nd of those 3 tees.

The process:

As with the 1st tee in this series, we started with some sketch compositions, with another two potential directions we could head down before defining which we wanted to see in the end.

The final design:

In the end we chose the 2nd concept and while I had explored a more party-esque colour palette we decided it would be best to keep the design monochromatic with the black and white for a simpler impact.

This also opened the door to more nuanced texture work that could play a subtle supporting role in the overall appeal of the artwork once produced and worn.

Easily one of my favourite designs from this series, I loved how the composition’s balance and overall structure came through in the end.
