Kross Street Y2K Rebranding
About the project
Kross Street is a unique store that bridges sneaker culture and affordability. It offers footwear for everyone, from trendy everyday models to professional sports sneakers, including basketball and winter options. The store focuses on premium-quality replicas at affordable prices, making sought-after designs accessible to a wide audience.
My task was to create a new branding identity for Kross Street that highlights the store’s individuality and connection to sneaker culture. The goal was to develop a stylish and fresh visual identity that would attract a young audience and make the store stand out among competitors.
New Logo
The logo is designed in a retro-futuristic Y2K style, reflecting the trends of the 2000s.
It features the first letters of the brand name, wrapped in a motion line that adds a sense of dynamism and speed. The Y2K aesthetic perfectly complements Kross Street’s concept, as it resonates with the brand's target audience, blending nostalgia with modern sneaker culture. By referencing the 2000s—a pivotal era in the rise of sneaker culture and urban fashion—the logo bridges the past and present, creating a fresh yet familiar visual identity.
The color palette is based on monochrome as the primary combination, giving the design a minimalist, restrained, and modern look. This approach emphasizes form and detail while creating a sense of premium quality. The main accent color is yellow-green, which evokes energy, youth, and innovation, symbolizing dynamism and freshness. Blue serves as a decorative element, offering contrast to the accent color. It represents trust, calmness, and comfort, balancing the vibrant energy of yellow-green while enhancing the overall aesthetic harmony. Together, these colors reflect the brand’s values of modernity, accessibility, and style, appealing to a youthful and trend-conscious audience.
