OKTAV - Music Festivals - Brand Identity

BRAND OVERVIEW

In this design project, we set out to create a brand identity that captures the raw energy and immersive experience of Oktav, an annual music festival crafted for the young, vibrant concert goers who live for every beat and revel in the moment. Oktav is more than a festival; it’s a curated collection of outstanding performances, delivering only the best in live music to those who crave connection, intensity, and unforgettable nights.

Our goal was to capture and mirrors Oktav’s mission—to by creating a strong brand identity that communicates where every performance is a masterpiece, raw energy every, note a memory, and every moment a chance to experience music without limits.

OUR STARTEGY

First we needed to understand the issues at hand, so we identified a few keywords to capture the brand's essence and desired personality. The main keywords we focused on are "Youth / Raw Energy" and "Immersive Experience." We also recognized that our target audience is primarily young people who value "freedom" and often make "bold decisions”.

Next, we explored how to visualize a brand that aligns with this spirit—thinking through the activities, communication style, and decision-making process. The answer we found lies in the concept of "vandalism," which powerfully reflects the freedom and boldness in their actions and communication style.

BRAND IDENTITY

Our approach to Oktav’s visual identity is rooted in a rebellious spirit, combining urban graffiti-inspired illustrations with a bold feminine touch through a gradient from pink, derived from blue (freedom) and red (bold decisions). This blend of vibrant colors and gritty visuals reflects Oktav’s essence: bold, authentic, and unapologetically youthful.
