Christmas Card

A Christmas card is a greeting card that is sent as part of the traditional celebration of Christmas. Its purpose is to convey a range of sentiments related to Christmastide and the holiday season among people. Many individuals, including some non-Christians, exchange Christmas cards during the weeks leading up to Christmas Day in Western society and in parts of Asia. The traditional greeting typically reads, "Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year." There are countless variations of this greeting; some cards express more religious sentiments, while others may include a poem, prayer, lyrics from a Christmas song, or a Biblical verse.
