US Elections Accessibility — Find Your Polling Place

At Maturis, we believe that #InclusiveDesign can help. And help it must.

There are many voting options available for disabled people, such as mail-in voting, but there’s obvious value in enjoyable face-to-face communication with your neighbors. Not all voting places, however, ensured that they made full allowances for voting accessibility. Our solution here, thus, is to design a directory of voting places with their access facilities highlighted.

We also believe that no one should be left behind — and yet transportation can still be an issue for many Americans. In this design case study, we thought that adding a Rideshare feature (an actual one, not paid) could help increase both voting place accessibility and voter turnout.

As John Doe Parmesan, the stickman candidate we made for this app, would say: “elections should be grate, not cheesy”. That’s true.
