Magic City Hippies - "You're the Eve of the Garden" Lyric Poster

“Magic City Hippies” is an indie band that was founded in Miami. FL and has some hits songs dating back to 2015. The band has such a unique sound blending elements of groove ,funk, jazz, lo-fi, rock and hip-hop and covers a wide array of concepts in their music ranging from love, loss and longing all the way to fun stay-up-all-night party vibes with friends.

I developed a set of 3 posters for the band based off some impactful lyrics based off some of their hit songs. Each lyric that inspired the poster evokes a unique emotion and visual I saw in my head when each lyric was delivered and I wanted to capture that emotion/visual in each poster.

For the “You’re the Eve of the Garden” - The delivery of this lyric felt almost ethereal and serene. I wanted this poster to feel more fantasy-esque, relaxing, positive-introspective feeling expressed in a more modern and sleek illustration/typographic style. The lyric also felt to have an emphasis on delicate celestial female energy and wanted to carry that energy into the visuals. By using hundreds of different formations of flowers and greenery as well as using custom typography that feels both flowy and bold and have hidden the curves of a woman's torso into the letter "V" to further celebrate that female energy.
