Organic Drawing – Raccoon

This brief asked us to create organic drawings using our observation skills. We were required to focus on three different sections of one object, each done in a different medium, such as graphite pencil, colored pencils, and fine liner.

I chose to draw a raccoon, as it was one of my favorite animals during childhood. I created three illustrations: a close-up of the face, a full-body shot, and an image of the legs.

The top image was drawn using various strengths of graphite pencils. These illustrations could be used for products, packaging, as well as magazines and advertisements.
