Tifa Lockhart - Final Fantasy VII X ASSC
This project is an exciting conceptual collaboration between the the "Anti Social Social Club" (ASSC) streetwear brand and the iconic Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth video game. To celebrate the game's release, the two brands joined forces to create a series of illustrated character posters, designed to resemble gritty, tagged-up graffiti-style wanted posters. These posters blend the worlds of street culture and gaming, giving the characters a fresh, urban edge while staying true to their origins.
In the poster, ASSC is reimagined as the "Anti Shinra Social Club," a clever nod to the storyline in Final Fantasy VII. This reinterpretation ties directly into the game’s narrative, where the main characters unite to take down the corrupt Shinra Corporation. In the game, Shinra is an electric power monopoly that greedily drains the planet of its natural resources for profit and political dominance, making it the embodiment of corporate greed and environmental destruction. The "Anti Shinra Social Club" concept captures the rebellious spirit of the characters as they fight against this powerful and oppressive entity, perfectly blending the themes of resistance and solidarity from both the streetwear brand and the game's storyline.
In each poster, the characters are depicted wearing realistic, streetwear-inspired versions of their in-game outfits, with most of the garments taking direct inspiration from actual pieces sold by the ASSC brand. This fusion of fantasy and real-world fashion gives the characters a modern, grounded look, making them relatable to fans of both the game and streetwear.
