Snorkeling around in the Mediterranean is always a 2 sided sword: On the one hand I love being in the ocean and watching sealife, but on the other hand it is so sad because so many species have gotten so rare. The lionfish is impressive to look at, but is actually an invader within the Mediterranean and adds to the damage of the eco system. With this drawing I tried to create something very pleasing to the eye, which would make great wall art for a diving center or any ocean enthusiast, but also sheds a bit of light onto the damage invasive species can do to an ecosystem.
