Internship Project
I worked as a UI/UX intern at LG Electronics for 8 weeks. I was actively involved in a range of projects, from website audits to brand collateral creation. I had the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and pitch a new cleaning service concept.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, I gained valuable insights into the industry and honed my design skills. My engagement with the team and contributions to various projects were highly appreciated.
Project 1
I looked for mistakes in how things were placed and how pictures were used. I also studied Samsung's website as a benchmark for good design ideas. Then, I made the website look better and easier to use.
Project 2
This project aimed to improve the user experience of our AMC and warranty information website. By studying successful e-commerce and tech websites like Flipkart, Amazon, Samsung, and LG UK, I identified best practices for presenting complex information in a user-friendly manner.
I collaborated with my team to implement these insights and address the website's existing shortcomings. The goal was to create a clear, accessible, and engaging platform for users to manage their AMC and warranty details.
Project 3
This project involved a complete redesign of the LG Newsroom to improve its overall user experience. I focused on creating a clean and organized layout with clear categories to enhance navigation. Additionally, I designed a dedicated podcast page to showcase LG's audio content in a visually appealing and accessible manner. The goal was to create a well-structured and user-friendly newsroom that effectively delivers information to the audience.
Project 4
I designed a layout for an upcoming object collection launch within a tight 5-hour timeframe. Working with the provided content, I created a clear and impactful layout that was then shared with the graphic team for banner creation on the PDP page. The goal was to ensure a timely and effective delivery of the design assets.
Project 5
This project involved designing a user-friendly interface for a new cleaning service that LG was planning to introduce. We conducted thorough research on similar services like Urban Company to understand industry trends and user expectations. Adhering to LG's strict design guidelines, we created a clean and functional UI that prioritized user experience while aligning with the brand's aesthetic. The goal was to develop a compelling interface that would support LG's pitch for this innovative service.
I also had the chance to design brand collaterals for live flash sales.
