Line Breaks on Google Sheets
I've been using Google Sheets for years, and I've always struggled with the mobile version, particularly when inserting a line break in a cell. My "hack" has been to insert several spaces until the text automatically wraps, but this creates a mess in the desktop version.
This got me thinking: could there be a better solution?
What if the iOS keyboard allowed a long press on the "return" key to prompt an additional option for inserting a line break?
Many other keys on the keyboard already follow this interaction pattern; for example, if you want to add an accented "A," you can long-press the "A" to reveal further options.
Using this familiar pattern, we could reveal an additional option for line breaks in Google Sheets.
This is a good solution, but it may depend more on Apple enabling that interaction on its keyboard than on Google. However, if it's up to Google, they should consider it.
