School Portfolio - How emotions influence memory
Bittersweet -Mixed Media (colored pencil, pen, marker & acrylic)
I designed this piece to represent a memory, the emotion I was trying to convey in relationship to this memory was bittersweet. With this piece, I wanted to explore how a memory can get distorted with distance and how feelings can change when you are living in the memory versus looking back on it.
Anxiety - Watercolor
This piece is meant to display a more general feeling, in this case anxiety. High contrast colors, vibrance, warped perspective, and butterfly symbolism are all tools I utilized to convey this feeling.
Surrealism - Chalk pastel
This work is also a personal memory. I once again attempted to explore a memory, this one much more distant than the first, and see how my perception of it has changed with age.
Depression - Colored pencil & marker
