Still Wakes the Deep

October really became a cosmic horror month for me.

After playing through the incredible Dredge – I moved on to Still Wakes the Deep. A wonderful, linear, narrative-driven, first-person horror/thriller indie game developed by The Chinese Room.

The developers described it as “The Thing” on an oil rig in the North Sea, which was enough to pique my interest. But man was this a good game! Incredible characters, great voice acting, beautiful design, compelling writing, and perfect length in my opinion.
