Paul's Tent Co. - Brand Experimentation

Introducing Paul's Tent Co.—a brand experiment that takes a fun and imaginative leap into the world of the Apostle Paul, asking the question: What if biblical characters had companies that needed branding today?

As a full-time minister, I find it fascinating to think about the real-life, day-to-day aspects of the lives of people like Paul, who balanced preaching the gospel with being a tentmaker (Acts 18:3). Paul was a man with a mission, traveling from city to city, spreading the word and pitching his tents (literally and spiritually). Paul's Tent Co. is branded as a modern-day company with a rugged, no-nonsense appeal—because let’s face it, if anyone could sell tents that are built to last through storms and travels, it’s Paul. The tagline? "Built for the Journey." It's a nod to the endurance Paul needed both in his ministry and his craftsmanship.

This little experimental project combines my love for ministry and my passion for design, connecting the ancient world of Scripture with modern branding principles. I had a blast playing around with it and kind of bringing a character like Paul into today’s business world, imagining how he might communicate his craft to a new audience, one tent pole at a time. And hey, if you ever need a durable tent for your spiritual journey, you know where to go!

I drew HEAVY inspiration (if that's the word for it) from Krivenko Ivan's design "Notes of a Tourist" as you can probably tell. My main goal was to practice with using more shadows/perspective and coming up with other compositions for the main logo.

Hope you enjoy! It was a fun little exercise to play around with.
