Pastoral — Onboarding

When designing Pastoral, our vegetarian restaurant locator app designed for Vegetarian Awareness Month 2024, we had to design for a diversity of food preferences. 

Shown here is the end result of our research-based design. The onboarding is part of our effort to maximize inclusive design, by making the app available for the range of plant-based lifestyles from vegans, vegetarians, up to pescatarians. A large audience of Indians — of whom 20–39% of vegetarians — probably don’t eat garlic as well, and we took that into account when designing Pastoral.

This is just a small sample of how we thought for the onboarding process and a snippet showcase of what UX research can do. What do you think?
