Toronto Blue Jays infographic
Client Goal
The Toronto Blue Jays are a team with a rich history, becoming the first Major League Baseball team outside the U.S. to win the World Series. Their historic first victory in 1992, followed by another in 1993, made them iconic in the world of baseball. The objective of this infographic was to highlight the key moments in their journey, showcase notable achievements, and celebrate their lasting legacy in the sport. The goal was to provide a visual summary of the team’s accomplishments, players, and records that would engage both new and seasoned fans.
Solution
To align the design with the brand identity of the Toronto Blue Jays, I used the team's original colors—navy blue, red, and white—giving the infographic a strong visual tie to the team. Additionally, I employed a pen-and-ink illustration style to evoke a nostalgic, retro aesthetic that resonates with the 1990s era, reflecting the team’s golden years of championship wins.
The layout was structured to flow from the team’s early history to its most notable achievements, guiding the reader through important events such as their American League Championship and World Series victories. Incorporating dynamic typography and bold color contrasts helped highlight key statistics and figures, while maintaining a balance between historical facts and player accomplishments.
This approach ensured the infographic not only appealed to fans seeking team information but also captured the essence of the Blue Jays' legacy, fitting perfectly into fan pages or media focused on the team.
