The Problems We Needed to Solve

  1. Multiple Payment Gateways: including PayPal, Stripe, and Xero, to cater to a diverse customer base.

  2. Complex Shipping and Tax Calculations: international shipping calculations based on product weight, and Australian tax correctly applied.

  3. Wholesale Customer Management: There was a need to differentiate between wholesale and regular customers, ensuring wholesale customers required approval and received special pricing and differnt automated email templates, while regular customers had purchasing limits.

  4. Inventory Control: Salty Pets wanted only in-stock items to be displayed in the catalogue and the ability to set custom attributes like colour, and size to manage variable prodict pricing and stock qty.

  5. Shop Layout Preferences: Ability to browse products using filters,and two shop layouts to cater to both grid and an order list views.

  6. Customer Support and SEO Needs: The site needed a comprehensive FAQ page, contact page, and a blog with SEO-optimised posts to improve customer experience and visibility.

  7. Adhering to Brand Identity: Salty Pets have an established Brand and logo, essential that the website's design and language aligned with Salty Pets' branding and created a friendly, engaging user experience.
