I had the incredible opportunity to work on the resale eCommerce platform for Eddie Bauer as part of my role at The Arrive Platform. This project was centered around creating a user-friendly website that offered returned and repaired Eddie Bauer products at discounted prices. The primary goal was to give these items a second life, reducing waste and supporting the brand’s commitment to sustainability.
How it works
When Eddie Bauer received returns, these products were sent to our logistics center, where they were carefully inspected and categorized based on their condition. From there, the items were listed for resale on the platform I helped design. The challenge was to ensure the process felt seamless for customers while maintaining transparency about the product's condition—whether new, gently used, or refurbished.
The value behind this project
This project was particularly meaningful because it aligned with a sustainability-focused approach, reducing the environmental impact of discarding returned products. By providing customers with high-quality items at a fraction of the original price, we not only extended the life cycle of each product but also empowered conscious shopping decisions.
The challenge
Designing the platform required balancing functionality with an engaging and intuitive user experience, making it easy for customers to browse, filter by condition, and confidently make purchases.
