Overview

When The Gut Biome Clinic expanded from a solo practice to a fully operational clinic, the challenge was to design an About page that featured founder Greta Rose Thurgood while also highlighting the clinic’s growth and its new team members. The goal was to keep the page visually engaging without overwhelming users with too much information.

Problem

As the clinic evolved from a solo practitioner setup to a multi-nutritionist team, it became essential to showcase both Greta’s expertise and the clinic’s broader services. Additionally, we needed a solution to feature the new team members without cluttering the page or overwhelming users with excessive text.

Approach

To solve these challenges, I made the ‘About’ section of the navigation a dropdown, giving users the choice to explore either the clinic or the team members. For the employees, I implemented modals to present their profiles in a streamlined way, allowing users to view key information without leaving the page. Each modal also links to a hidden individual employee page, which can be used as a direct link if needed.

Solution

✷ Dropdown Navigation: The 'About' section now offers two choices—'About Us' and 'Our Team'—allowing users to explore the clinic and team profiles separately.

✷ Employee Modals: Each team member is featured in a modal, providing their profile information without redirecting the user or cluttering the page with text. These modals are also linked to hidden individual pages that the team can use for direct sharing.

✷ Founder Focus: Greta Rose Thurgood’s story is prominently featured, highlighting her role in founding the clinic while seamlessly integrating the clinic’s overall growth and new team members.
