Dalay Sevilla - Jar

Dalay Sevilla

This encounter begins long before the first puff and the first sip: distilled from Andalusian wines in traditional "pot stills", i.e. copper stills, our brandy matures in so-called cigar barrels. These owe their name to their style, because with their elongated shape that tapers at both ends, they are reminiscent of a cigar in the classic double figurado format. They only become real cigar barrels after the brandy has been drawn onto the bottle, wonderfully enriched in color and taste by storage. We ship the used barrels to our Zauberberg manufactory in the Dominican Republic and ferment filler tobaccos of our Robusto Especial in them. Enriched by the beguiling scent of brandy, the refined tobaccos give the Dalay Sevilla a very special depth of taste. Together with other traditional Dominican tobaccos, the cigar is completed with an oily, dark-sweet wrapper from Ecuador. This is strikingly different due to a shimmering marbling, which it owes to a special additional fermentation process. This makes the cover page look unique and colorful like the palette of the painter George Braque, who sometimes designed entire paintings only with shades of brown.
