SMS - Successo, Mente e Saúde is an intervention program based on the Cognitive-Behavioral Model created to help schoolchildren (from 7º to 9º grade) better understand and deal with mental health issues. The program was developed by the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Coimbra to be implemented in schools.

Challenges & Objectives

Our client wanted us to develop an e-learning platform - SMS eSaúde -, which would include two Programs: SMS Jovens and SMS Educadores, to complement face-to-face classes. SMS Jovens would be dedicated to schoolchildren and it aims to clarify mental health concepts, provide support tools and share helpful tips. SMS Educadores is directed to the family of the children, to educate and empower them to manage difficult situations.The challenge was to find a way to prepare pupils for personal obstacles they can face: understanding themselves and their feelings, interacting in society, etc.
