GAMBLING

🔥 Let’s talk about test tasks in motion design, especially in the gambling industry! 🔥

I often face the same problem: test tasks given by companies are based solely on references, without providing any materials. Why is that? 🤔

🕒 Building everything from scratch takes 10+ hours. Finding sounds, music, illustrations, drawing something extra, putting the project together—it all takes a lot of time and resources. It’s somewhat engaging, but when you get rejected afterward with comments about lack of professionalism, it’s not just disappointing—it’s infuriating.

👥 A question for HR in gambling: Why are tasks given without the support of materials? How fair is this evaluation if most of the candidate's time is spent searching for resources rather than showcasing their core skills?

🚫 I’m curious about your opinion, colleagues. Why do we, as designers, have to prove our skills under such unfair conditions? Why can’t companies provide at least a basic set of materials?

⚠️ For me, it’s a challenge and an opportunity to level up, but the reality is: it takes about 10 hours to gather everything needed, and few can do it faster. Isn’t it time to rethink the approach to test tasks? After all, it’s not just a test of our skills but also your chance to see the real potential of a candidate.

Share your stories! How do you handle such tasks?
