How I Designed "Create New" Feature for File Manager

The project involves designing a multi-functional file and folder manager application tailored for mobile devices. The primary objectives include creating a user-friendly interface that effectively represents folders and files based on their types, and designing intuitive processes for creating new files and folders. The design must prioritize accessibility and utilize a minimal color palette to ensure clarity and ease of use.
Design Goals
Minimalism: The design should employ a limited color palette, focusing on functionality and reducing visual clutter.
Accessibility: All design elements must be accessible, adhering to best practices to accommodate users with varying abilities.
User Intuition: The interface should guide users through tasks like creating new files or folders effortlessly, with clear visual cues and straightforward interactions.
File/Folder Representation: Files and folders must be distinctly represented, with visual indicators for different file types, ensuring users can quickly identify and manage their content.

Clear Visual Hierarchy:
The design will utilize size, spacing, and color to create a clear visual hierarchy, ensuring users can easily distinguish between files, folders, and different types of content.
Key actions such as creating new files or folders will be prominently displayed without overwhelming the user.

Folders will be clearly differentiated from files, possibly through distinctive shapes.
File/Folder Creation Process:
The user can create new files or folders through a simplified process, with + button that initiates the creation flow.
Accessibility Considerations:
The design was used high-contrast colors and large, readable fonts to ensure it is accessible to all users, including those with visual impairments.
