Garden City BrewFest 2024 Poster

In extension for the work I did for developing a logo for the Garden City BrewFest I was also given the chance to do the poster design it as well. I wanted to create something that felt like spring on steroids with lots of green and lively colors taken from the logo and lots of leaves - like a 'secret garden' kind of feel (Garden City - made sense in my head), peaking through the bushes to stumble upon something vibrant that you weren't expecting.

One of the biggest highlights for this project for me was trying to come up with a Star Wars 'easter egg' since the festival falls on May 4th (Most years). The process for trying to figure that out went a little like this: Ok (very sleep deprived) brain think of something to do with Star Wars that goes with what you have already created without it sticking out like a sore thumb. Green, leaves....leaves...ears...green ears...yoda...corn hole tournament...yoda...BABY YODA USING THE FORCE TO PLAY CORNHOLE! And yeah that's how that went 😄!
