Alley Cat (LIVE WELL)

This illustration, titled "Alley Cat," was inspired by my recent adoption of a black cat named Boba. As I settled into my new home in Charlotte, I began sketching in Procreate, starting with a cat skull and adding hand-lettered serif-style words. I chose Charlotte team colors to tie the design to my new surroundings.

"Alley Cat" embodies the resilience and hope that, much like a cat, an artist can face numerous challenges and still land on their feet. Being a solo business owner can be tough and overwhelming, but I believe that even when it feels like everything is falling apart, inspiration, opportunity, and joy are just around the corner. As the artwork says, it's up to us to live our nine lives well.
