Utopian Virtual

Grainy, staticky and airy are all qualities I’ve always enjoyed, whether in visuals or sound. Recently, I was introduced to a genre of music called Utopian Virtual, a sub-genre of Vaporwave. It’s often likened to classic elevator music, with an added hint of atmosphere. Listening to it took me back to memories of VHS tapes; static noise, scan lines, etc. This experiment is a by-product of my enjoyment of that retro world.
