Postcards Rijksmuseum - Reframing Women Campaign

Women’s achievements are often erased from history. In 17th-century paintings, they appear as mothers, wives, or mistresses. However, women were also merchants, board members, and war heroes like Kenau Hasselaar, who defended Haarlem against the Spanish.

I designed distinctive lettering for quotes that highlight and frame these remarkable women. To celebrate International Women’s Day, we launched ‘Reframing Women: turning history into her story’, a campaign created with TBWA\Neboko for ING and Rijksmuseum, to show historic women as inspiring individuals, with a story to tell.

Custom lettering created for: Campaign title, Socials (short version), YouTube ads (long version) and Postcards (museum giftshop).
