Mae Jemison

Mae Carol Jemison became the first African American Woman in space on September 12, 1992. Jemison was a Mission Specialist on STS-47. It was her only trip into space. Dr. Mae Jemison continues to inspire people everywhere by speaking on the importance of science and technology.
