    I've always been a HUGE fan of Spotify's classic UI. You might see some of that in this concept design. However, I was inspired by an old music player called MusicMatch Jukebox. And yes, I do remember the skins could often be quite crazy. However, the UI always made sure to show you what you needed upfront.

    Taking that plus the elements of modern players I enjoy today, I came up with a simple and clean design...with a little magenta pink.
