Hello everyone! In this design, an attempt has been made to increase the probability of the user making a purchase by using the decoy effect. This app is a social network for sharing short stories.

What is the Decoy Effect?

The decoy effect explains how, when we choose between choices, the added less attractive option (the decoy) can influence our perception of the original choices. Preys are asymmetrically dominated: they are completely inferior to one option (the target) but only partially inferior to the other option (the competitor). For this reason, the deception effect is sometimes called the "asymmetric dominance effect." (Source: thedecisionlab.com, with a slight change)

How is the decoy effect used?

A basic plan is added for $7 per month, which only has three of the seven premium features. These three features can be less important premium features. In this case, the basic plan can increase the perceived value of the advanced plan compared to before.
