dxTrade Black&White

A concept design of a modern trading platform moved closer to a black & white palette by removing halftones and adjusting color tone.

The business aim was to show that our trading platform can be customised for any brand book with a modern color palette.

Trading Options

The layout for options trading usually consists of multiple widgets: Risk Profile, Positions with 4-level aggregations, Option Chain with 7 columns (where we used 5 hues of white, making it easier to read the chart) and the Volatility surface.

Trading Futures

Futures is another complex derivative contract. One of the essential widgets in the futures layout is Depth of Market with a space for creating multi-leg orders, which allow multi-step trades.

Trading Crypto Currencies

While trading cryptocurrency, it can be confusing to look at 0.00000001 BTC vs 0.00008097 USD and distinguish the place of a digit. We faded the nulls after a comma and at the end of a figure, we also added half-spaces to show the place value of a digit in a number.

Trading Forex

The forex layout is just as sophisticated as the layouts for other assets. Here, we want to draw your attention to the prices in the Watchlist widget, where we increased the font size of pips for better visibility (usually pip is the 3rd or 4th decimal point, which measures the amount of change in the exchange rate for a currency pair).

Monitoring Forex Market

In the final screenshot, we want to draw your attention to the heatmap. It is a visual representation of the strength of one currency vs. another. Each segment in the heatmap is a dependance of 3 values — buy or sell is green and red; the volume of transactions is the square area; and price movements are represented by hue.
