ESL Tag Management

Quick Start

Hi everyone! In this case study, I'd like to share my latest project - EnGage Tag Management. The app's main purpose is to manage e-shelf labels (ESL) and make changes on the fly. It was developed as a reliable solution designed to simplify and optimize the procedure for association and electronic price tags, including storefront products.

At a Glance

The main purpose of the app is to simplify the management process to make it maximally autonomous from user control for a wide variety of use cases. This approach allows users to switch between scanning modes and automatic QR or Bar code verification seamlessly.

Work Process

A series of interviews were conducted with business analysts to get an insider's perspective. Our goal was to get a clear understanding of how the process of association is made in practice in the real store; as well as clearing up any major pain points and applying user requests.

We first developed workflows that would describe the user's algorithm for every step of the process - based on this information we created the User Flow diagram.

To enhance control over the scanning and verification process, we implemented distinct sound signals to indicate successful actions, errors, and completion.

Low-Fidelity Prototype

The main stakeholder chose to realize the app as a mobile website running in the browser.

Colours and Fonts

The app is one of EnGage Project's modules. For this project, we used EnGage's UI Kit that included 'Inter' as the main font and an accessible colour scheme.

High-Fidelity Prototype

Using the EnGage UI Kit, we finalized the design, added the icons, and corrected the design of the components for use on mobile devices.
