Design System for Healthcare SaaS - Mobile

Last year I had an opportunity to work on research, workshops, hi-fi mock-ups creation and entire design system for mental health SaaS platform that enables therapist and coaches to provide their services to users seeking support in the realm of mental health. The goal was to create early assessment and therapist alignment for the users so that they can find help that is carefully selected specifically for their condition.

Project started with a rough idea of investor and my team was tasked to covert said idea into fully functional, consistent and maintainable digital product. We invested almost 6 weeks to reaserch during which I was also responsible for organizing workshops, selecting relevant data and creation of personas that we could than base our design principles on.

During early stages of product lifecycle I was constantly analyzing user cases, creating user flow charts and conducted multiple A/B testing scenarios and surveys. During this stage some of the key element were updated changed or removed entirely to ensure maximum user satisfaction and bring the highest possible value to the investor.

As the project progressed for the course of almost entire 2023 till now and more and more functionalities were outlined and added to product backlog through user stories it was clear that it requires an usable, consistent design system that I was tasked to provide. I created the design system with atomic design principles in mind and provided scalable principles and elements that the developers could use in multiple scenarios including Atoms, Molecules, Organisms, Templates and Pages. During product lifecycle I also improved animations and interactions to better provide visual feedback to it’s users.
