Rafakh | typography design adobe illustrator | adobe firefly

The city of Rafah, when combined with the Arabic letter "kh" (خ), forms the word "Rafakh" (رفخ), which translates to "trap." This linguistic transformation is intriguing, as Rafah is a border city with complex geopolitical significance. The term "trap" metaphorically reflects the city's challenging circumstances, symbolizing the political, social, and economic entanglements that affect its residents and their daily lives.

This piece of art was crafted in Adobe Illustrator, starting with a real font, under the name"Bigx”. Then was meticulously tweaked to meet specific design needs. Once the desired adjustments were made, the text was transformed into a three-dimensional masterpiece using the 3D Extrude option. This process added depth, perspective, and a striking visual appeal, showcasing the power of Adobe Illustrator in turning simple typography into captivating 3D art.

After transforming the text into 3D using Adobe Illustrator, I employed Adobe Firefly to generate creative yet minimalistic designs. These designs vividly depict Rafah's dire situation, illustrating themes of fire and mass destruction. This artistic approach conveys the harsh realities faced by the city in a visually impactful manner.
