CaseMarket App

The Problem I set out to solve

The challenge at hand was to design the frontend interface for Casemarket, a mobile app that aimed to revolutionize the way immigrants and immigration lawyers connect and collaborate on immigration cases.

The primary problem was the existing inefficiencies in this process. Immigrants often faced hurdles in finding qualified lawyers for their specific cases, while lawyers struggled to locate immigration cases aligned with their expertise.

The objective was to create a user-friendly, efficient platform where both immigrants and lawyers could seamlessly connect, share information, book appointments, and collaborate effectively.

Secondary Research

The client provided a comprehensive competitive analysis, offering valuable insights into similar platforms and their strengths and weaknesses. This research helped in understanding market trends, user expectations, and potential gaps in existing solutions. It served as a foundation for creating a unique and competitive user experience.

User Personas

I wanted to form a deeper understanding of our users' goals, needs, experiences, and behaviors. So, I created 2 personas for each of our user segments. They were based on client feedback, and I kept updating them throughout the project as I gathered more data. I used these personas whenever I wanted to step out of myself and reconsider my initial ideas.

User Journey Map

User journey mapping for the Casemarket mobile app played a pivotal role in guiding design decisions by closely collaborating with the client and developer. Prioritizing the immigrant and lawyer journeys, which were central to the app's success, allowed us to anticipate and address potential pain points. Feedback and insights were gathered through collaborative discussions, highlighting complexities in registration, challenges in matching users, communication, and process efficiency.

Subsequently, I streamlined the registration process, improved search filters, integrated a robust messaging system, and optimized workflows, resulting in a more user-friendly and efficient platform tailored to the needs of both immigrants and lawyers, aligning with my project objectives and client's vision.

Wireframing

I created low-fidelity wireframes for the Casemarket mobile app, focusing on the structural layout and functionality rather than intricate design details. These wireframes were generated using industry-standard wireframing tools such as Figma. While I didn't conduct formal user testing with the wireframes, I leveraged collaborative discussions with the client and developer to gather feedback and make iterative refinements. Multiple iterations were made to fine-tune the user flows, optimize the arrangement of elements, and ensure a cohesive and intuitive user experience for both immigrants and lawyers using the app.

Final Thoughts

The Casemarket Mobile App project represented a significant step towards bridging the gap between immigrants and immigration lawyers. By creating a user-friendly, efficient platform, the app aimed to streamline the process of finding legal assistance for immigrants while helping lawyers discover and manage relevant cases. The frontend design prioritized user needs, offering a seamless experience for both parties and fostering collaboration in immigration cases.
