Hera - Logo Design

Introducing my wordmark design for HERA, the Olympian queen of the gods. As the wife and sister of Zeus and mother of Ares, Eileithyia, Hebe, and Hephaestus, Hera reigns as the goddess of marriage, women, the sky, and the stars.

Stephen Fry humorously describes her in his novel HEROES as the “possessor of malevolent gadflies and a ferocious giant crab.” :D

To reflect Hera’s royal and stylish nature, I chose feminine serif letters with bolder serifs than usual, hinting at her dangerous character. The merging letters nod to her role as the goddess of marriage, bringing couples together.

Emerald green, symbolizing opulence and envy, perfectly aligns with Hera’s history and the feathers of her sacred animal, the peacock.

This logo is part of my design exercise to create wordmarks for each of the twelve Olympians from ancient Greek mythology. Cause I love making wordmark logos.
