Raspberry Pi in the Natural World: Bat Detecting in Germany

All around the planet, Raspberry Pi is being used in the natural world. This is one of the animated scenes from a short film which highlights the various projects that use Raspberry Pi computers to make the world a better place.

Holger and Henrike Körber have turned a Raspberry Pi into a bat detector. It can create graphical interpretations of bat calls, manipulate calls to bring them into frequencies humans can hear, and identify bat species from their call.
