Johner Institut - Design of a company

In my previous role, I worked for Johner Institut for several years, initially as a media designer and later leading the media production department. My work included the following fields:

  • Corporate Design

  • Print Design

  • Digital Design

  • Interieur Design

  • Event Media

This experience refined my skills in strategic and creative visual communication.

Corporate Design

When I joined the company, the logo and colors were already roughly established. My task was to further develop the corporate design, defining and refining the color palette, typography and visual language. Therefore, I updated the print and digital media, to give the company a fresher, modern look.

Print Design

My role involved designing a variety of print media, including templates, promotional materials such as flyers and brochures, as well as books and guides for our eLearning platform.

Stationary

The business stationery served as the cornerstone of our print media, encompassing everything from letterheads to invoice templates, NDAs, business cards, and various other templates. All of these materials were based on my designs, ensuring consistency and professionalism across our corporate communications.

Marketing Material

The marketing materials encompassed a wide range, from brochures for in-house study programs, seminars, and products to giveaways and stationery. Additionally, I supported various business units in the conception and creation of marketing materials.

Digital Design

In addition to print media, I also designed various digital assets such as ebooks, templates, and digital formats. These digital resources played a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and providing valuable content to our audience.

Interieur Design

In 2021, the Johner Institute relocated to its new premises at Rheingarten. My task was to design the office interiors in alignment with our corporate design.

The building itself features a lot of concrete, metal, and large window surfaces, making it challenging to create a warm atmosphere that would make both our employees and clients feel comfortable. I therefore placed a strong emphasis on using light wood and plants. Together with the stunning view of Lake Constance, I was able to create a professional yet friendly and welcoming environment.

Event Media

At the Johner Institute, we annually host three in-house events. As part of my responsibilities, I focused on ensuring that these events visually aligned with our brand.

This involved tasks such as creating invitations, designing event materials, translating the branding into the physical space, and ensuring that each event reflected the essence of the Johner brand.
