The lack of addressing in Libya makes this app one of its kind. Makani gives users detailed information about the point of interest and clear addressing that helps to navigate and move around the city. Users can check local stores, pharmacies, restaurants, or governmental institutes. On the other hand, the Makani app gives a lot of opportunities to businesses. Places are easier to reach and business owners can add their places through the app.

The Makani project started addressing the country and expanding the database of points of interest from scratch.Makani Team has a large number of data entry workers who add and verify public places. To automate and streamline the process of increasing the network of POI's, we decided to design a process that gives the ability to regular users to add places. This made it possible to relieve the crew to some extent and increase a lot the value of the application.

Week electricity network infrastructure and insufficient numbers of telecommunication aerials the network coverage with good quality is commonly rare. On top of that, in Libia, there are blackouts every day so networks aerial are cut off from power for a few hours. One of the biggest challenges in the design process of the app was to give the users a whole spectrum of features despite external factors.
