Case Study - Liftify: A Gym Revolution

Problem Statement

Many beginners struggle with confidence and lack of knowledge when starting weightlifting. Even people who have been training for a while can get tired of it after not seeing results and end up quitting.

Goals and Objectives

My goal was to help people who are interested in becoming stronger and building muscle to find joy in resistance training. I wanted them to feel empowered, confident, and motivated.

Quantitative Research

My quantitative research was composed of primary and secondary research. For my primary research, I searched for statistics on how much exercise people are getting and how much of that is cardio vs weight training. Based on my findings, I curated questions for the survey. In the survey the ages ranged from 18-45 with 58% of respondents being male and 42% female. There was also a good range of inexperienced and experienced lifters. Nearly 60% of Adults in the U.S. do no form of resistance trainingThe CDC recommends 150 minutes of aerobics and two days of strength training per week. 64.3% of Americans are meeting the aerobic guidelines but only 32% are meeting the strength training guidelines. This led me to an opportunity to specifically tackle strength training.
