Interactive dialogue is crucial for language learners, especially those without access to native speakers. Duolingo's new feature fills this conversational practice gap.

Crafting Personas

To develop well-rounded user personas, I analyzed two key segments: Duolingo's diverse audience and the various gamification personality types. This dual approach ensured the personas accurately reflected the users' language learning experiences and engagement styles.

Dialogue Quest

In the Dialogue Quest, you'll speak and record a provided sentence. Similar to other Duolingo exercises, the app evaluates your pronunciation. This initiates the game, where you'll then listen to your partner's response and reply correctly. If you respond incorrectly, the app will provide the correct answer for both participants. This interactive method not only enhances your speaking skills but also exposes you to various accents, improving your listening abilities

Duolingo's distinct branding and personality have resonated with users for years. In honoring this legacy, I've maintained Duolingo's standard typography while introducing a palette of universal and deep colors, aiming to foster global communication and inclusivity.

User Interface

In the UI design, I harmonized elements that echo the app's style with a novel, interactive flair. The UX narrative and layout are devised to inspire players, regardless of the outcome. To cultivate competitiveness, I introduced an exclusive status emblem on the leaderboard, redesigned to highlight each player's journey and triumphs
