Music App - Design Task

I was recently asked to do a design task, which unfortunately I didn’t make it to next round, but I still enjoy what I created.

The task itself was looking into the music industry and trying to find a way for music producers and artists to come together in order to easily discover, create and collaborate.

I looked at apps like Splice, BeatStars and Voloco, and tried to come up with a new solution that allows for simple discovery and collaboration, but also felt simply, and intuitively, interactive.

I wanted it to feel like during the creation process, that the artist and producer felt connected on the new track they were making, and that artists could discover tracks and beats they enjoyed; tailored to them in a feed, whilst also seeing their created tracks on their shared profiles.

Further down the line, it would've been great to explore features like messaging, liking, commenting and live chat within the designs to really bring that collaboration feel to life in your hand.

I would’ve loved to have taken this concept further, and it was quite a hefty task, and I'm happy that the feedback was positive, but I’m just going to leave a sneak peek of it here.
