Fiber Optic MTN Dashboard

🌐 Fiber Optic Dashboard: From Concept to a Professional Solution

Here is my recent dashboard design for AEC and MTN IRANCELL .

When I was entrusted with designing the Fiber Optic Management Dashboard for Irancell, I realized I was facing a multi-layered and complex challenge: How could I create a system that seamlessly handles technical complexities while delivering a smooth and user-friendly experience?

💡 Challenges I Faced:

1️⃣ Designing a Dynamic and Editable Map: The map had to display all fiber optic towers and allow users to make changes, such as adding, removing, or relocating towers. But that was just the beginning:

  • 1.Each tower was connected to multiple cables, each with its own unique ID, route, and specifications.

  • 2.Any changes to a tower or cable had to be automatically reflected across the entire map, requiring precise coordination between design and development.

2️⃣ Managing Large Volumes of Information: The dashboard needed to present a vast amount of detailed data—from cable numbers and connection paths to advanced features like search and tower-specific data views—while maintaining a clean, user-friendly interface.

3️⃣ Catering to Diverse Organizational Roles: Each organizational role, from senior managers to field technicians, had different needs. The design had to ensure that every user could quickly access the information and tools relevant to their role.

What I Did:

  • Deep Needs Analysis: I started by thoroughly analyzing documentation and conducting regular sessions with stakeholders to identify the needs of each role.

  • Structured Information Organization: Data was categorized intelligently so users could find what they needed in minimal time.

  • Dynamic Map Design: I created a page that not only displayed towers and connected cables but also allowed users to easily edit cable numbers, routes, and other details with precision.

  • Close Collaboration with Developers: I worked closely with the development team to ensure perfect alignment between design and implementation.

📌 The Outcome: This dashboard is now a comprehensive management tool for various organizational teams, serving as an excellent example of harmonizing user-centric design with intricate technical requirements.
